That's a very neat puzzle. I spent a long time staring at that picture... it seems that somehow they turned 12 guys into 13 by making each guy a bit shorter and shifting the sections cleverly to make up an extra guys using the shortened pieces to form a complete man. The link cannot work properly as the URL given is wrong (that is, http://extraman if memory serves right). Only the text gives the true link.

I would agree with Kamog, but I have yet to figure out which guy is "removed" or "added".

Yes, it's correct, they chop off little pieces of some of the men and assemble them in a way that creates or dissolves one... I know these kinds of puzzles, but as to how exactly they "disappear" a man...
