question on alliances

hi guys. since I have had very good experiences with questions being very fast answered in here I thought I'll try it again.

here we go:

war: sure, that means war.

non intercourse: does it mean anything? I mean, what is the difference to "war"? you keep beating each other, your mines keep exploding. is the difference only a "diplomatical" one, or am I missing something?

non agression: sure, no shooting.

trade: I know

trade and ressearch: I know.

military alliance: now, beside the effects of a T&R alliance you can also use his resupply depots now. are there ANY other additional benefits?
I read in the newbie faq. that his planets will display system wide facillities (if you have turned this on in the empire options window) can you see anything else besides these effects?
are these effects being applied to your planets too? as f.e. I own a planet with a system robotic facility, to his planets in this system get this bonus too?

partnership: TR + resupplying + intelligence points traded. what are the additional effects? you "share sight". now what does this mean exactly? will your ally see all the systems you see? can he see systems were only you are present? can he see minefields? cloaked ships?

thanx a lot for your time

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">In practical terms agaisnt a human there is no difference except perhaps a role play one. Against the AI, I think he will try to avoid your ships and planets instead of homing in on them on sight from accross the system, but I am not sure that works, and I've never had the AI accept a NI treaty, so I am not sure the difference matters.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">No, he will not get the use of you system wide facilities or repair facilities. Only the resupply depot. I thought he couldn't actually see your facilitity abbreviations until you had a partnership, but I could be wrong about that.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">He cannot see your minefields. He cannot see you cloaked ships directly, BUT if you have at least one other ship/planet/fighter/sat in the system with you cloaked ship he will be able to see your cloaked ship because he can see what those ships can see.

This might be considered a bug, or a feature depending on who you ask. The result is you can send a single cloaked spy ship into his space looking towards the day when you partnership is gone and unless he has sensors tech he won't see it, but you can't sneak a massive cloaked fleet into his home system and spring a suprise attack if you guys have a partnership treaty.
