PBW Shipset Question
 

Hi guys, I bet that the answer I will get is: no! but nevertheless I will ask.

I am at the moment hosting my first PBW game. (just friends of mine and all of us newbies) and one of my friends made the mistake that he didnt select the shipset he had chosen on the HP during his empire file creation. and bad luck, another player has already chosen the same shipset as this player accidently took. so they both are using the same shipset.

now my question goes as follows: is there any way to exchange the shipset he is using WITHOUT restarting the game?
I guess not.

if there is no way to do this, is there any way to exchange his shipset WITHOUT starting a new game (with all players uploading their empires again, which took us weeks) but rather a way were I just reupload the first turn, but while I use a different empire file for this player.
did I make myself clear? I mean, is it possible to reupload the first turn while using a different empire file than the one he has uploaded to the HP?

You can certainly upload a replacement turn for the first turn. It does not have to use the same empire files, or the ones that are stored on PBW at all, really. Go into the game admin screen, and scroll down until you see the Upload Replacement Turn section. Enter the location of the replacement turn to upload (zipping makes it smaller), and click on the checkbox there that will make it replace the current turn, rather than upload the next turn manually.
