OT -- DirectX and Win NT

Hi,

A lot of you folks know a great deal about computers, so I'm hoping you can help me.

I'm trying to use a shareware screensaver on my terminal at work, but it uses Win NT and I always get an error message saying the screensaver requires DirectX.

I tried putting DirectX on it from a game CD, but it says this Version of DirectX is incompatible with Win NT.

Is there anything I can do?

Dealing with the computer support people at work is not an option -- funding cuts have left every section in the company horribly understaffed.
