Yet another mod
Epic Empires Beta
Here's the mod I've been working on. When I started this I was setting out to create a mod that would allow a player to create vast empires and gigantic ships. So I increased the value of planets and made ships come in two varieties, small craft and capital ships. As I went along and thought about it more and more I realised that I wanted to force expansion more so than in the normal game. This was brought about by making all resources finite. If you mine the value of the world goes down some each year and will eventually reach zero. Now empires will rot or stagnate from the inside out. This mod uses a QNP system and say goodbye to the Quantum Reactor, I took it out. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif There have been other tweaks and changes to the tech tree as well. Um, Nodachi- that second point is available in stock SE4 as a limited resouces game. Probably more elegantly than the system I suspect you're using.
