Planet capture bug
I know I've seen this same bug reported in another thread, but darned if I can find it.
The problem is capturing an ally's planet. This occurred when both an ally's and an enemy's planet were in the same sector. The enemy planet was slagged and the ally planet was captured. I sent the bug report in to Malfador just hours ago and received a reply from Aaron already! Does this guy ever take a day off? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif The good news: he's going to try to have it fixed for the next patch. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif |

slightly off on a tangent...
isint there a bug where seekers sometimes dont damage the plannet? |
Re: Planet capture bug
Yes, when they get fired at max range, they sometimes will not hit the planet. They will target the top left corner, but will have to actually hit the bottom right corner. So, they will never reach it, as they hit max range before reaching the bottom right corner. Note that I do not remember which corners this applies to, so it might be different corners.

I was unsure of whether it had been fixed or not... I recall seeing people posting about the bug in 1.84?

Re: Planet capture bug
I looked and could not find it in the history text. That does not mean it is not there though.
