Do multiple repair bays on ships stack?
 
First I want to thank all you guys out there, the advice & ideas I've received from this forum has been absolutely awesome, it has made me a fairly decent player in my 1st three PBW games. I haven't completed one game yet & it's Version 1.49 also. I purchased gold just days ago but I got to admit til I get a bit more experience I'm afraid to run into some of you players & get so badly slapped around I'd have a major case of demoralization & might never recover! lol So I think I'll stick with 1.49 a bit longer. Anyhow...my question is if I build a speciality ship with more then one repair bay on it do the values stack? For instance repair bay 1 repairs 3 components...If I have 3 of them on 1 ship...does that ship repair 9 components...or only 3?

Don't forget to multiply by your modifier.

And multiply AFTER stacking all the repair ability in the sector.
Then round down.

If you set your race to have 80% repair ability;
Then if you had a ship with one point of repair per turn, you would get (1 x 0.8) rounded down = 0 repair per turn.
But if you had five of those ships together, (1+1+1+1+1) x 0.8 = 4 repair points per turn.

All the repair points go towards fixing one ship, and any remaining points after the ship is finished spill over to the next damaged ship in line.
