Changing data files
 

Quick query. I have installed 1.84 SEIV and the TDM modpack.

I have been trying to change the data files so as to increase the amount of resources it takes to build a colony module (of any type).

I have changed the data file in both the SEIV sub-file, and the relevant sub-file in the mod pack, but it doesn't seem to pick these up in the game.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

You only need to change it one place or the other. Not both. You really should only change it in the Mod data folder, and then make sure you change your path.txt file to the proper mod folder name. Changing it in the stock data instead should work, but you won't be able to play your stock data games.

As to why it doesn't seem to be taking effect, I'm not really sure. Do you have more then one install of SE4 on your computer? Maybe you are changing the 1.49 files by accident instead of the Gold Version files? Just a guess.
