Is anyone still making these types of utilities that make a GUI to edit the text files? I have one, but it hasn't been updated since Aug 2001.

Is there a web page with a collection of them? Which ones are still being worked on? Which work with 1.84?

The Component Modder is the latest and only tool I use for editing components.

Most of the time I just manually edit them, its faster, easier, and more hands on.

I do not think it does. SpaceEmpires.net has the program available in the downloads section of the SE.net Portal, as well as several other useful programs.

I think so. It is the latest one as far as I know, though it is just called the SE4 Modder.
