I ve tried to play as the Federation and there was an error message tellin me that the federation portrait pic was missing..and i ve got the latest Version..

go here and download the Federation. DO NOT over write the AI files just copy over the missing images.

Missing image files happens in updates. If you do not have the full mod, and just apply the update more than likely you will get a few missing images.

I suggest that you check all of your race folders as I know a few in the update DO NOT have images in them. (They did not change from the full mod so they were not included in the mod update.)

Also if all you did was download the update, chances are your going to get a lot more errors over missing planets, components, and facilities.

I strongly suggest you download the full mod then apply the update, or download the image mod and install those images into your BASE SEIV pictures folder as directed.

This way any mod that requires these images will have access to them.

The AST mod full Version already has these files, although they are considerably out dated so you will still want to have the latest Version of the image mod and such installed.

I just d/l the updated patch for the AST mod, and so far haven't had any problems. I did upgrade my components folder with the recent patch for that, and as far as I can remember, have the other picture folders up to date as well.
