OT: Help! I can\'t watch DVD\'s any more..
 

Hi,

A strange problem has just hit my computer.. I can't watch DVD's any more. I get an error message saying that the DVD cannot proceed while the TV-Out is enabled.

But as far as I can tell it isn't enabled. and I have nothing connected to the TV-Out.

Does anyone here have a GForce Card with TV-Out? Do you know where I go to disable it? I can't seem to find a toggle anywhere in the advanced properties. and in the nView it is marked as[*] Disabled.

I have no Idea what could have caused this problem to appear. I watched a few DVD's at Xmas and the PowerDVD Player worked fine. (fyi: I also tried playing the DVD's through Media Player and I get the same error.

Any help would be much aprieciated.

Thanks for all your help people, I found the answers I was looking for in another forum.

In case anyone finds themselves with this same problem, The current nVidia drivers (v53.03)have a 'known issue' with the TV-Out (if you have one of their Graphics Cards with that option)

The solution was to install the previous drivers v52.16.
