Needs a Note field for ships...

I'm sure I am not the only one to have thought of this, but I haven't seen it mentioned. How many of you rename a ship to something like this: Med Trn Get methane breathers for Aidan System?

This game is great, but it would be great to have a note field for information/reminders like this.

I have used the name field for reminders in Stars!, and have seen that Stars Supernova that is being created will have a built-in note field for reminders and information.

Wouldn't you like to have a field like this?

Yes, a note field as mentioned will help. But right now, I try to have ships playing "zone defense". Meaning transports are assigned to a particular system/planet. The name of those transports can simply be "MdTrans Fortunil I". Then those transports will pick up their cargo at their "home planet" and be sent to a destination. Once the destination is reached, I can check its name and send it back to where it came from.

Some of them might be doing population redistribution within a system. So the name will be "SmTrans Inter-Fortunil". Or a transport going back and forth 2 planets "LgTrans Fortunil I-Eskirk IV".

well, just some ideas....

This is an excellent idea!
