Semi OT - Conquest wars? Strategy? History?

In my social (history) class, i was reading through WWII stuff. One of them described the "New World" as seen by Hitler and his party, and i had a most unsettling thought - i've realized that this is, basicly, how we play Space Empires. I can elaborate if needed.

Why am i posting this... this is a thought i'd thought i'd share with others, and maybe some discussion to questions i cant pinpoint?

I daresay because our empires are the master races. Other races are lesser and we need to expand through war at their cost to grab lebensraum for our own advancement.

...Local populations would be removed in order to maintain the homeland concept, and the purity of the [master race]...

The New Order for Europe proposed the rationalization of agriculture and industry on a continental basis. Everything from capital goods to armaments would be concentrated in [master race] hands. The conquered peoples would be organized to process the raw materials and food to which [master race] would give absolute priority. As needed, workers would be uprooted and moved to whereever labour shortages occured. A central planning board would direct all facets of production and establish efficient economies of scale...
<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">That, along with German views. This is a debate/discussion from my class and from amongst some of my friends - to some extend what Germany was doing would have been beneficial to humankind, if not Hitler's over-cruel policies versus other races.

I cant find the right terms for my point. No, i dont try to offend anyone, just an ongoing thought.

now, its not a terribly bad idea to have a mobile workforce that can be redirected wherever there is a shortage. these days, the economy is moving in such a way that we have mobile manufacturing centers that shift faster than labor can emmigrate, but the principal is similar.

of course, its a bad plan to do it all for the greater good of the master race, but the economic an industrial principals are sound. as long as we are not talking about using slave labor - which was definitly a hobby of ww2 germany.
