How many unique techs (Ancient ruins ones, non researchable) are there?

Hmm, I get those sometimes from ruins but I've never actually used them...

Other than Neural Combat Net, they are pretty much useless except in the very early game before you can research the normal equivalent techs. Of course, Massive Planetary Shield Generator is always useless. Really expensive for a small amount of shields.

I've created a diversity mod that increases the total number of unique techs to 35. I've also increased the shields from the Massive Shield generator too to make it more worth while. Most of the techs I've added though are forms of racial techs. Imagine a crystalline race with organic armour...
My added types are stronger than the level 1 of each racial tech but weaker than their higher levels, so as to still keep the racial traits their specific advantages. |
