-What is gravity?
-How can a mass atract other mass? -Is it the size/weight of the mass what define the strenght of the gravity force? If so, then Gas Planets should have a lower gravity! -How about the Sun? -Why the gravity force is opossite to the centrifugue force? -Why do scientists keep saying that they know what gravity is when they barely know how it works? |
Re: OT: Random Thoughts
Some random answers:
- Ice floats because it is less dense than water - Although gas planets are less dense than rocky planets, they're so much larger that they have a much bigger mass. - The sun is so friggin' big so it is no mystery. - I think masses attract each other in the same manner as the nuclear strong force works in atoms... but then again I'm no physics major. - I believe a chicago chef in the late 1800s made the pototo chip. - I think my cat dreams about chasing creatures, or eating the birds that taunt him on the fence. - Puppies are dogs to start with. |

By the way, is it Earth a medium sized planet? |
Re: OT: Random Thoughts
I think in terms of SE:IV, Earth can be classified as a medium planet - but I couldn't hazard a guess in our real universe - same for the existence of Medium-sized gas giants although I don't see why it's not possible if the right conditions are present.

Why does the phone always ring when your on the POT?
Why does everything unusual always taste like chicken? Where on the planet can you stand where every direction you face is south? |

Why is the hot water always on the left?

If you pay sales tax on something then sell it, why does the buy have to pay sales tax on it again?
You don't. At least you aren't supposed to. Only the Last person to use it is supposed to have to pay tax on it. The exception is for "durable goods", like cars, houses, etc. And those exceptions were written into the laws by the people collecting the taxes. Not sure, but I think there's a connection there. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif What exactly is ado, and why do we want no further of it? It was later found that .99 items psychologically seem cheaper than round numbers. People will buy more $4.99 items than $5.00 items. Quote:

and for one i know the answer to: how do you make a dwarf float? and for one no-ones been able to answer: the closer an object gets to the speed of light, the closer it gets to infinite mass, right? therefore, if light has mass, it should be infinite mass, right? well, light has mass...and it's not infinite. about a millionth of a gram over your hand. look up 'solar sails' if you don't beleive me.
