Shipset creation advice
 

I am trying to make a shipset for personal use, and I am following the shipset tutorial by Atrocities. The tutorial calls for 2 images--one is the potrait and the other for a top-down view used for the mini-pic. The problem I am having is that i cannot find any Images that are top-down for the ships i wanna use. Is there an alternative method for creating a top down image/pic?? I

I believe that you need the top-down view for the combat screen, so unless you want your ships to look funky from a top-down view, you need these.

As to original question : make an appropriate model in Doga and you will have both views http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Yea--heh i do undertand that i need a top down view--is there another way besides Doga to just work on the top down view?? --am curious cause i cant make good stuff with Doga (Artistically Crippled--lmao)

Or if you are skilled enough, you can use DOGA and copy the designs you want and presto you have a top down image as well as a portrait.

Can I ask what images you are using as sources?

skilled??--lmao i am skilled at playing games only)))--not making them lmao--but if i had a guide on how to do this then my problem would be solved. I am actually trying to make a Robotech shipset--specifically the Zentraedi. this is for personal use--actually for a LAN partner to use. I have some Images of the ships i want and actually am borrowing from other shipsets for certain ships/ etc. again personal not public use.
