Ok, this story is for everyone out there. Each member who wants to join in will fill in the next chapter in the story line. Lets see what kind of story we can come up with, with everyone putting in their 2 cents http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

At what could be called a table, sat 3 alien beings, they held all the power in the far flung empire of Drakar. The empire encampused over 300 worlds where these creatures held ultimate power. Each was of a different race but were bound together in joint partnership for the subjugation of their expanding empire. Life meant nothing to them, only the excitment of holding life and death over others, total power, was the only thing these creatures understood or cared about.

Dulag of the Crescending Crescent, was reporting on the status of their expansion which had virtually stopped in their immediate area of the universe, due to lack of habitable planets, and was suggesting that an exploratory expedition be sent to the next galaxy. Ra'Nath, leader of the Aosho agreed. "We must move outward in order to add more planets and populations to the Empire", he commented, Dulag immediatly agreed and looked to the third and the most powerful of the alliance, Glaive of the Borax. Borax was quiet for severl minutes, and then replied, It is then agreed, which force shall we send, My forces are finishing up smashing the rebellion in the Gladdich System, Ra'Nath looked to Dulag who in turn shook his head as well. "It'd take at least several months before any of my units would be able to be in position as well". Ra'Nath, smiled, I can have my 4th Fleet on the move and into the lst system within 2 weeks if that is agreeable to both of you. Dulag and Glaive hesitated before giving their acceptance. "Only on the condition that all spoils be fairly allocated to each of us, and that we're kept abreast of everything that is found Ra"Nath, remarked Glaive. Remember Ra'Nath, we split whatever is found evenly. "But of course Glaive, I wouldn't have it any other way responded Ra'Nath. It is agreed then, the Aosho 4th fleet will be given orders to proceed with the exploration.

Lt. Commander JasSmith of the Confederation of Worlds, was just coming onto his bridge of the survey Destroyer Sentry II, when his astorgator looked up from his station and stated that Eleven unidentified ships had just appeared on his sceens. Before he could say anything, the astrogator yelled, "we have launch, incoming, I have multiple spreads, impact in 30 seconds, JasSmith's face turned pale, "Evasive action, sound general quarters, radio, get a message off to fleet, give our location and anything else you can get. Sir, Simon the exac, said, they're launching from well out of our weapons range, I know replied JasSmith, I know..... The first missles were taken out by the ships point defense, but there were just to many, the lst hit was amidships, the 2nd and 3rd the bridge, the rest bored in and soon only debris was all that was left of Survey Ship Sentry II........

The room was dark. True, it was brightly lit, but the beings within gave off darkness.
One cloaked figure stirred and spoke, though no sound was made. "The nessasary races, then, have been primed?"
"Yes. The nessasary elements have been primed. The weak races will be angered, the strong races will be encouraged. Devices have been placed in primed hands. Unfortunatly, there are a few sensitive races."
That all of the elements thought they were working for themselves, that all who weilded devices had been throughly probed and that efforts would be directed to encourage the wiping out of the sensitive races were a given. If thoughts had been given otherwise, the being voicing the report would never have been on this council, nor living after ascending to the rank it had had.
"All plans are in place, then. As it was before the Sleep and the rise of these lesser races, so shall it be after."
There was a rustling around the room and nightmarish hues shifted as each thought of once again destroying as they wanted. But deep inside one, a different glow burned.

ooc: very small numbers, high tech compared to everyone else that they know of. but considering both, subterfuge is a much more attractive option. even against one empire, it would be an attractive option. but they have the tech for it. before they went to sleep, they considered blowing up a planet much the same way we would consider blowing off some fireworks.

ooc2: i suggest that writers put down a post saying something like 'writing', then edit that. cuts down on double Posts. we found that out on the failed 'misadventures' thread. i should have done that. se4 sized galaxy's, right? to clarify, the devices they mentioned are things to gradually and sublty change a crowd or a persons mood.
