OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT

Don't be hatin.
Seriously Geo, I tell ya, I was so mad about this I could have ripped that program from my PC a bit at a time with my bare hands.... All tha work seeminly lost. But guess what, the program has a back up that for some miricle worked. I only Last the work that I had done over the Last fifteen minutes or so. Still, OFFICE 2000 is a better program IMHO. |
Re: OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT
ANY programm is better than WP http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif . I wonder that this programm is still in use, I had my Last encounter with it about 10 years ago.
And there is no need to feed the big devil M$ just out of the desparation. Try Open Office instead. |
Re: OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT
And that's why I've stuck with MS Works 4.0 for the past what? 8 years? Still works great after all this time. A little slow maybe, but I can't complain too hard.

Re: OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT
Open Office still has a while to go before it can compete with MS Office. Ok if you don't want to pay any money. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Re: OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT
Agreed, it is up to discussion how much better MS Office is than Open Office. But as you mentioned, it's for free... and, another big plus, you're not feeding M$ when using it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
Plus, it definitely IS better than Word Perfect http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif |
Re: OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT
Right, it beats the heck out of Word Perfect!

Re: OT: I HATE WORD PERFECT
One nice feature in Word Perfect was the ability to see the formatting code and make changes. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Word likes to format the document itself and doesn't allow many of the changes I would like to make (such as revising indents, etc.) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
