Interesting way of getting attention...
 

I just found Space Empires IV in the Last place that I would expect to find it... on a bitorrent website. It's interesting to see that it's getting some attention now (in the wrong way). It's getting 1/6 the hits that UT2k4 is getting on the site... though I'm sure that'll change.

BTW, if you (admins?) want the site just let me know. Though i'm sure it's not too hard to guess http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I would also like to point out to those who have come here after downloading the game that your actions are hurting the future of this game.

Malfador is a small ONE MAN company that uses the revenue from the sale of this game to develop not only SEIV, but SE V as well.

When you download it for free you are not ripping off some large conglomerate money fueled mega corp, you are seriously hurting the a one man operation and jepordizing the future of Space Empires.

Please buy the game. Help support Aaron and Malfador so that the Space Empires series can live on. Without the support of this limited nitch fan base, and the sales of this game, there would be no Space Empires IV, and certainly no Space Empires V.

Pitch in and help keep Malfador and Space Empires alive. Buy the game.

I do my bit by promoting the malfadour home page on various forums i frequent in an attempt to drive traffic and hopefully sales.

Just as i do with the 1 man band over at roninsoft.com (has the great fininaical and sharemarket trading game wall street raider or W$R) i suggest you folks check it out as it is almost as additive as SE4 and to register is $30 and a 12 month of updates.

I know of a couple of people who downloaded the game at first, then liked it so much that they wanted to see SE V developed, so they bought the game, even though they already had it through an illegal download. I do not approve of their actions (downloading the game), but even some pirates see the light eventually, and realize that buying the game is really an investment in the future.

This game is so worth the price and the money recieved does go toward Space Empires V. With every free download of this game, the chances for a Space Empires V dwindle like minutes off a smokers life with each cigerret.

Just by this game please. Do not download it.

128 sales lost is a lot of money to a one man company like Malfador.
