Re: War point jump & the battle simulator
The only way I have found currently to deal with this is to do tactical simulation, take control of both sides and move them to the center of the combat are roughly how you would expect them to be in real life. Then on the defending players combat turn switch to auto turns.
It's a bear to setup if there's a lot of ships, but it does give you an idea of what might happen for the first few turns. You don't get a full 30 rounds of combat though since you burn a few getting the ships in position. |
Re: War point jump & the battle simulator
Yes that would be a way...
but I'm really AMAZED that in all the updates they never fixed this part of the simulator. Or the part where the simulated fleet breakes apart for every one simulation run... it would really help if you could do this thing automatically. |
War point jump & the battle simulator
I was wondering wether there is a way of getting all the ships and bases in the battle simulator placed as if one fleet had jumped through the WP and encountered the ENM fleet on the other side.
The new addition of bases being placed in orbit around planets in 1.91 is great.. but why put several WP in the battle simulator (under "items to choose") if they don't account for anything except the pretty blue hole in the middle of the battle map. The battle simulator could just cluster all the ENM and DEF ships and bases in the middle around the WP if one is put in the battle simulation. Given the state of things, there is now way of simulating close encounters of your and enm ships if you are defending a WP with ships and/or bases. I'd sure like to see this get into the next verison of the game. [ March 23, 2004, 12:52: Message edited by: JurijD ] |
