AI Tech Req
 
Say you have a component which has a bridge ability, amongst other things. It has two level 6 tech reqs. But, you want the AI to design ships with the regular bridge instead. Adding 12 more redundant Ship Construction 1 tech reqs works, but is clunky. I tried adding another tech that you start the game with that has 15 levels. I added this to the Bridge in place of Ship Construction 1. Unfortunately, the AI added the big component, rather than the regular bridge. Was something done wrong, or does this not work?

don't know if this would work but maybe have the 'requirement must have bridge' in the vehicleSize.txt be false for all ship types and then use AI Tag's in the DesignCreation.txt for which bridge the ships will use?....

That would lead to some humans not thinking to put a bridge on, as it is not required, and then getting very low movement on their ships. :-\
