Two more survivors and one possible. I would say not bad. Now we must go forth to repopulate the planet...... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Re: Spring Forward / Fall Back
You know what I find strange? Most people are under the impression that when we move the time back (in the fall) we gain an hour sleep. And when we move the time forward (in the spring) that we loose an hour sleep.
I always get the opposite impression. Take the time change this weekend for example. The first clock I see in the morning is on my computer, and It simply said 7:15 AM. I though WOW! I slept an extra hour Last night. In the Fall I get up and see something like 4:42 AM and say geeez, did I get up early or what? So with this in mind, it always feels like I got more sleep in the spring time switch. Oh well, It's just me I guess. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif P.S. Oh, and I obviously survived the time change so you can ad me to the list of survivors. |
Re: Spring Forward / Fall Back
That is a pretty good way to look at it David. I have to say it had never occured to me before.
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Quite clever actually. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Since I was sixteen I have worked 85% of my life on the grave yard so it would not apply to me, but still, very nice way to look at it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif In retro spect, I guess I did look at it this way. 2 am became 1 am and I still had 5 more hours to go when before I only had 4. An extra hour at work and no pay. That sucked. In the spring what was 5am became 6 am and I lost an hour of work.... Hot damn I get to go home an hour early and get an extra hour of sleep. (Lost an hour of pay. So I would loose two hours of pay every year. We called them the vanishing Hours. For me that was nearly $40.00 bucks each year I lost.) |
