What\'s the true scoop on rioting planets?

I know their population does not reproduce.

I know that they don't produce any resources (M, O, R, Research, Intel).

I know they don't build anything, spaceyard or not.

I know you can scrap facilities them.

I know how their happiness system works to make them happier.

I am pretty sure that Spaceports, Resupply Depots, and resource storage facilities work.

====================================

Can they launch units? For that matter, can a rioting planet execute any order?

Will a spaceyard on a rioting planet repair ships in the same sector?

What happens when something in the build queue that is partially completed, the planet riots, then stops rioting? Does the queue continue where it left off or does it get reset?

Do system-wide facilites on rioting planets still work?

Do training facilites work?

Do planet modification facilities (value improvement, climate, atmosphere converters) work?

What about planetary shield generators? Or system shield generators?

I don't use them, but what about recycling facilites?

Will Weapon Platforms work during combat?

Will the rioting planet launch fighters or drones in combat?

Will the rioting planet produce militia against dropped enemy troops?

Your help is appreciated.

Slick.

"Can they launch units?"

Yes.

"For that matter, can a rioting planet execute any order?"

Yes, there are some orders they can issue.

"Will a spaceyard on a rioting planet repair ships in the same sector?"

Not sure.

"What happens when something in the build queue that is partially completed, the planet riots, then stops rioting? Does the queue continue where it left off or does it get reset?"

It should continue where it left off.

"Do system-wide facilites on rioting planets still work?"

Yes.

"Do training facilites work?"

I would assume so.

"Do planet modification facilities (value improvement, climate, atmosphere converters) work?"

No idea.

"What about planetary shield generators? Or system shield generators?"

System shield generators are system wide abilities, so yes. I think planetary shield generators should still work.

"I don't use them, but what about recycling facilites?"

They are system facilities, so probably.

"Will Weapon Platforms work during combat?"

Yes.

"Will the rioting planet launch fighters or drones in combat?"

Yes.

"Will the rioting planet produce militia against dropped enemy troops?"

Yes.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">It does. However if you have it set to Emergency Build, the emergency build counter will continue as usual, even though nothing can be built until the riot stops.

Resource converters also work fine on rioting planets.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Don't build troops on the planet. Don't build Urban Pacification Centers or other happiness facilities. Let an enemy fleet sit unchallenged in your system for a while. Don't try to break a blockade. Lose the battle when you finally do attack.
