possible to change "max number of ships" after gamestart?

So, it looks like I may have done something pretty stupid....it looks like I set a game to "maximum number of ships = 200" and didn;t discover this until turn 2408.0.

Is there any way to change this setting after game start?

thanks,

Alarik

Ps: I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to fix this, but I thought I'd ask anyways...

I dont believe there is a way to fix it once the game has started.

You can set it to always be set at 20000 so you dont forget, I did that with Invasion! but right now I am not sure how I did it. It's probly in the settings.txt

It is indeed in the settings file, and these two lines govern the default value:

Default Number Of Units Per Player := 1000
Default Number Of Ships Per Player := 200

As it is a default number, I am afraid they won't help a game which has already been started. If you have too much free time on your hands, you might try to edit the game file itself and look for the hexadecimal value of the maximum ships, but I am not sure if it would be fine with SE4.

I don't think you can edit the save game by looking for hexadecimal numbers. The data appears to be encrypted.
