I am playing a Stock Game of SEIV, nothing like the plain SEIV Gold to get you going, and well one of my long time Neutral allies sends me a request for Trate and Research alliance. I responded by breaking our treaty and having already positioned my fleet over their Home World I attack.

I feel horrible as they resisted my ground troops and ultimately my fleet had to obliterate the planet.

All they wanted to be was good friends, and I glass their Home World. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

They were already done for. You only helped them to a quick and relatively painless and radioactive death.

I would have felt worse if you had blown up the whole system. Because if you had then what would the point have been in going there in the first place. I mean waste all that money to get there then waste all the resources to blow it up. At least with the planet empty you don't have to keep troops there to keep them in line, they can't rebel if they're dead, and you can colonize it to get more resources.

I just feel bad for having wipped out the race. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif They had only one planet, their home world, and I tried to conqure them, but they kept fighting. They were so inocent, like deer in the ones head lights.

Well, you do realize that the whole Trade and Research treaty they offered you was just a pretext to steal your women, don't you?

You should do what I do:

Well, I usually use team mode against the computer, so they always declare war on me, and so I never have to attack any allies. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif Hey, they started the war FIRST.
