Where\'s Waldo?

Would anyone be interested in a PBW game where, there is one player(waldo) with only a super base ship and the rest of the players are noraml empires and their objective is to find(destroy) waldo? This would take place in a huge 255 system map and waldo would cloak, repair, have a space yard and, generate resources, and research points.

Sounds interesting, it would have to be a modded game.

Sounds interesting - waldo could invade planets and set up his own empire though. Id make waldo and experienced player - of course he would probably die in the end though.

If you activate the 'default population' for a colony module so 'Waldo' can in fact build up his own empire it provides an interesting way to 'handicap' experienced players relative to less experienced players. You could have games where some players start with a planet (lots of population, more resources) and some players start with the 'super base ship' which could also have remote mining abilities to get them started. A little experimentation might let you develop this into more gradations of 'handicap' level.

These are great ideas, I am going to start working on this soon. Don't let me forget.
