AI default files
 

I am at work, so I can't check this. Has anyone tried removing all the default files to see if the AI will then use the race specific files? I was thinking the logic in the program might have been reversed and that the actual existance of the default files is preventing the reading of the race specific files. I apologize in advance if this has already been tried.

The neutrals use the default files! If you do this, either don't play with any neutrals or make a full set of custom files for them, as well. Even that might not work, though. When a planet rebels and forms it's own empire this also uses the default files. So, even if you could "force" the major AI empires to use their custom files this way, it might cause too many other problems to be worth it.
