Quick modding question...

Where is the setting that determines the percentage of AI resources that are used for maintenence?

I thought it was in the Settings.txt file but either I'm blind or it's not there. I'm hoping to boost the percentage to 200% or so since I give the computer a bonus.

Or does the computer already take the additional resources into account when it calculates how many resources it's spending for maintenence? So if I give the AI a medium bonus and it gets 3x the resources, goes it take that tripling into account already (in which case I don't need to do this) or should I push it up to something like 150 or 200% to reflect these additional resources?

I believe the latest patch made the AIs take their full bonus into account.

I'm not at my home computer right now, but you can check history.txt to be sure.

It is in racename_AI_settings.txt, not setting.txt ! Your idea is sound but you must be carefull to indicate in the release what level of AI bonuses must be used for your AI to avoid AI overspending.

Se4 defaults the settings that Oleg was referring should be good, and you may not want more http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
Maximum Maintenance Percent of Revenue := 80 (you may concider less then 80. 70 or 75 is also good if you have a Unit File)
- - -
However, If you are using a Unit File for your AI, you may need to consider that reserve as well:
Percentage of Resources To Reserve For Unit Construction := 15 (depends on your settings)
