You can run into this kind of bug when you load a mod for the first time. Save your game, exit the game (I am not sure this step is needed, but...) and reload your game.

You do not need a "fixed" map to play; instead, the game has created a random map when you launched the game.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">You're trying to load the empire with different amount of racial points spent. Try to set your racial points to 5000 and then load the empire. It's just my guess, though.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Either that, or the Empire in question was made with different files. In fact, adding or removing an advanced trait will invalidate an Empire file, so it may be your problem if you are trying to load up a stock Empire file (or even one done under a different Version of the Star Wars mod).

Alneyan was right on the quick start, i have the system and star map up now. i tried to fix the racial points to 5000 and that didnt fix the normal game...i didnt change any race abilities, what i downloaded is pretty much what im trying to run /shrug im clueless hehe. well worst comes to worst i can still play empire or alliance on the quick start games.

Re: star wars mod help

Do you have a folder structure like that:

SEIVG\SWII\data\*.txt (bunch of files)?

Are you sure that your Version of the SW mod is latest and SE4 gold compliant? Where was pretty many confuses with preGold B5 mod around.
