Is it me or is the web real slow for everone?
 

I got home about 4:30 pm East Coast US. I have a cable connection. My internet connection is like a dial up. Is it that Bagale virus clogging things?

We got a T-1 line here at work, it was slow monday. So I have no idea why though.

Mine is the same as usual. I have dialup at home and it's slow as always. I have ADSL at work and it's just around the same speed as usual.

My dialup connection seems about the same. Certain sites have problems now & then but the recent upgrade to Mozilla 1.7 has made most things seem faster even with the same connection speed.

Your ISP might be having problems, OR some backbone sites between you and your frequently used sites could be having problems. Just one major host having problems can cause a lot of lag for entire segments of the Internet that you have to access through that route.

Thanks folks.
I finaly got through to Comcast, (my cable ISP). First I tried thier email support which gave me a list of 11 things to check on my system like it was my fault.

So then I get in a que to use thier "Online chat" support which is pretty good if you don't mind using IE. The tech took less than 20 seconds to tell me that yes there were sever problems in my area and that technisians were enrout to fix them.

I asked why didn't email support know this?
"There is sometimes a delay in getting the information out to all of the support sites"
Grypin: "Please tell mangament that was a 10 hour delay and they have a very unappy customer. Add that I am pleased with you personaly"

Tech: "I will relay your Messages to mangment and thank you for choosing Comcast"
