What & when was your first \'Topic\' posted here?
Hi, All
I just scanned Ruatha's thread, (the one he bumped to celibrate his many years on these forums.) It got me interested in knowing what all you other people's first 'Topic' posting was here. FYI: The first 'Topic' I started was on November 30, 2002 A good 6 months after I registered. And wouldn't you know it, my first 'topic' post saw me upload a 'graphic' for the se4 community... If you promise not to bump this old thread, you can take a look at it here.. My First 'Topic' post. Seven days layer on December 6, 2002 I started my 'real-invasion' with what would become a huge army of unstopable avatars.. My Avatar thread. I can't wait to find out what and when all of you made your first 'topic' Posts. Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif |

The first thread I posted to was the "How old are you" thread. No idea what the first thread I started was though.

I can't seem to find my very post very easily but this one might be it. I think this is my first post. It was April 1st 2002 and I joined in March of 2002. That is the oldest post near March of 2002 that I can find.

As for my first thread that I started, I have no clue what that might be. [ July 23, 2004, 13:37: Message edited by: Ragnarok ] |

Mine I remeber well. My first post was also one of the first topic's started in the Starfury forum. I asked, what Se4 tech do you want to see in Se4? And the first person to reply was Mr. Narf!

My firs post: Walked straight into the cantina and picked a fight with the Ferocious Feline.
That was …. Educational http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif |
Re: What & when was your first \'Topic\' posted here?
My first topic and post has been lost to the ages, apparently. Earliest I could find was my second topic and post:
DATE: 19 Sept. 2000 TOPIC: Beef #2: Fighters CONTENT: WOW, is this a great game! Only played the demo so far. Intend to buy. But, as an American I demand my right to complain. So here goes: Fighters are expensive to research, and then they are cruddy! Why are they slower than freighters in combat mode??? And why are they so easy to hit, even from far away??? And how can a single shot from a big gun kill more than one fighter at a time? Fighters are not done realistically. Remember Pearl Harbor, Midway, the Coral Sea (not to mention Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Buck Rogers, and every other sci fi book or movie ever made)?? The only things that should be able to hit a fighter reliably are weapons specifically designed to hit small, fast-moving targets (i.e., AA, SAMs, and other fighters). A carrier with fighters should always wipe out a fleet of battleships, if the big boats don't have some sort of AA defense. |

My first ever post was in the Starfury forum...but my first topic and post in this forum was an OT one discussing the BSE(Mad Cow Disease) case that had been found in Canada. I can't remember what my first actual SEIV related topic/post was though. I just don't seem to have that many questions! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

Here's mine:
http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin...3;t=005185;p=2 Very typical. I was lurking for some time and finally had to make a post to ask a bazillion questions as a newbie. Slick. |
