Computer gaming world review
Not only is it a big deal that a game that wasn't from a big publisher got a printed review in the magazine but it got a 4 stars out of 5. 5 is reserved for games of the year bascially under their system so 4 is great. They really didn't have anything at all bad to say about the game. They better start printing up some more copies of the game.<G>

Ok, but make sure putting patches is still the top priority.
There are still too many bugs in the game that might scare away many potential buyers. |
Re: Computer gaming world review
As usual the reviewers only scratch the surface of a game (it could not be else, can you imagine reviewers who would play SE IV in the largest universe settings, complete the game and the publish the review? somewhere in 2002!). Now, in compare to many "commercial games" the reviewers will find SE IV is very stable and doesn't show (major) bugs in the beginning of a game (playing for several hours).
Later on the bugs show up. This doesn't mean I think SE IV is NOT a good game, I play it now for months not touching any other game. But it's also true when bugs show up this is very annoying, since you have probably advanced quite a bit in a game and suddenly you are confronted with things that could mean you can't complete the game. Bugs fixes are indeed priority # 1 for MM and will finally determine if this is indeed the ultimate strategy game or just another one that will lay in the desk drawer after several disappointments. ------------------ MAYBE THIS IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE <Worf facing another critical fight> [This message has been edited by nmoppa (edited 07 January 2001).] |
