Question about Formations.txt
When specifying the positions of the ships in formation, there is a line like this.</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">Position ## Type := Any</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">What can be put in this field?
Could this be used to create formations that place certain ships in certain places? Has someone already done this? Is this just another planned but unimplemented feature? [ July 25, 2004, 02:43: Message edited by: Loser ] |
Re: Question about Formations.txt
Unfortunately you are right: This is another unimplemented feature. It has no function in SE IV but hopefully this will be the case in SE V.

Re: Question about Formations.txt
Does that field have to say 'any', or can you put other things there?
People have tried this, yes? |
Re: Question about Formations.txt
I tried it and as I said it is not functional. You can put items as "attack ship" or troop transport" in this line without any effect.

Re: Question about Formations.txt
What sorts of formations are you making? Perhaps you would like to make a contribution to the Ultimate Strategies Mod?
