Upgrade question by noob

I SHOULD search the database instead of bothering you guys w/ a question, but dammit I'm playing the game and want to get back to it. I suck.

Is there any way to automate (minister) facility upgrades? Also, I set the minister to retrofit, but the ships never got retrofitted. Am I missing something there as well?

Ministers can and will upgrade both ships and facilities, IIRC. However it would tend to be a bad idea to do it all immediately, so it takes its time. Upgrades only happen to ships which happen to be at a space yard when the minister (occasionally) decides to do it.

In the construction que window there is the option to UPGRADE. Click this and any available upgrades will be placed into the cue.

Also under the MINSTER controls you can turn on the Retrofit minister.

Retrofit = Upgrade.

Ministers in SEIV are just like real life ministers. They promise a lot but fail to deliver once in power http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif .

Just turn the whole bunch off (If you use the in PBW games you will get hammered).
