Space Yards

I can't build multiple ships, that was a problem in the demo, and it still is in the release.... ugh that is a big part of an annoyance for me.. Everything else is working nicley... But i really wana build more ships.... im building one at a time.. I NEED THAT OPTION! 1 ship per base space yard! you'll never get a big Fleet that way. The maintance costs for 50 base space yards.... ugh fix this problem, thank you

Re: Space Yards

I never have any problems with 25-50 Space Yards. Of course I rarely have more then 150 ships or so. Use a plain space station with only a computer, a space yard, and maybe a little armor, you don't even have to fill it really.

Re: Space Yards

I do agree though, I want A) To be able to build a star base with multiple space yards, or at least one with multiplier yard that doubles the recources that can be built with per turn like on planets. And B) I would like the yard to move to the next ship in the same turn, it's a pain when a ship needs only needs half what the yard can do to finish, yet the next ship doesn't get touched.

Re: Space Yards

Danny,

Sorry but in SE IV a planet or Ship shipyard buils 1 ship or one facility on a planet. No multi builds like in SE III. Best bet is build lots of space shipyards or use the emergency build option.

Re: Space Yards

By space yard I mean 50 stations with one building componet, and on planets with many space yards you can build large things like 200 fighter in far less turn.

Come to think of it having the option to buy 200 ships at a time like mines and fighters on a planet would be nice.

Re: Space Yards

Danny,

True but your constuction cost and maintance cost would be sky high. IMHO

Re: Space Yards

I could live with one SPACE YARD per planet, if it weren't really one QUEUE per planet. You cannot build ships while building facilities. That's what's really annoying. I wish a space yard was its own queue so you could build a space yard & be building ships while continuing to build facilities on your planet. Or even building units to defend the planet while building ships.

Re: Space Yards

Baron,

I agree but MM hasn't listened to us. I do see some advantages though. I make the game a more stragy game rather than a " I build more than you and roll all over you.

I don't know that it is a matter of them not listening as much as they have other things that take priority. Did you see, btw, that the game has sold out it's first run????

I hope they got a copy to MM to send to the beta testers before they sold out. Maybe we can put them up for auction ( just kidding folks ) :}
