Robo-miners

How do you get robo-miners to mine? I have a space station with them, but I don't seem to be able to get them to launch. I try the launch recover button, but the miners aren't listed.

What am I doing wrong in getting robo-miners to work/show up so that I can point them to a target?

If you put them on a Space Station you have to build the Space Station at the asteroid field you want to mine. Put them on ships so you can move them around. IMO it aint worth it becuase a mining ship almost always costs more in upkeep then they can mine due to the high cost of the mining components.

They automatically mine as long as you have 100 supply each turn on the ship
