1.19 Retrofit bug

I have just discovered a bug when retrofitting damaged ships. I figured since my frigate got shot to pieces defending my homeworld I might as well retrofit it as it will need repairs anyway. To my surprise all the damaged components that where not retrofited (ie present in both designs) where whole after the retrofit. Only the new/replaced components where damaged. Didn't work like that before. Talk about your quickie way to repair!

ROFL! Now that's funny! It's one of the commonest programming goofs of all time, too. He's obviously using a flag and logical bit flip to switch it, either it's OR and it should be XOR or vice versa. Been a while since I used any of this myself. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif Simple enough to fix once it's pointed out. Betwen this and the failure to update the ai_designcreation files with the new ECM/Sensor ability names, I think patch 1.20 is in order.

I have noticed another bug also. It looks like now if you delete the first item in the building queue the next item does not get the benifit of the work already done, but if you use the button to change the order of what is being produced you will still get credit for the time already invested in building that former first item and it can be deleted.

Re: 1.19 Retrofit bug

I've found what *may* be one. A warp point collapsed but one side was still present. You could move through it to the other system, but no return trip was possible.

Or is this one on purpose? I didn't read the description too closely when the event was announced, I'm afraid.

I have heard it mentioned that there are one way warp points. They must be very rare though I have played many games and have never seen one.

Re: 1.19 Retrofit bug

It started out a normal two-way one and got half closed later. I may have just missed some random event notice.
