Patch 3 What and When?
 

Any idea when we can expect patch 3 and roughly what is in that patch.

I know that Richard is better suited for this but.... take it easy!!! MM just got a game that has been selling like crazy! Aaron has been working on it night and day and took some time off to relax and recharge. The next patch will come when it comes.

A thought to mull over at least you know there is a paatch comming unlike other games.

(Wonders why everyone isn't playing the game and instead worrying about a patch?)

Well, I can think of a couple of reasons, mainly centered on how little fun kicking the current AI around is... I too am waiting for the next patch before playing the game again.

PS Don't get me wrong - if I had some local folks to play hotseat with this game would be a five-star special, but since I don't I need a good AI to have any fun at all. Believe me when I say I want this game to succeed.

You played Version 1.19 with large universe lots of computer players, a standard race with computer bonus on high? try that and see if you can kick the AI around so easily

I play the game on hard settings, large galaxy 200+ stars , 20 empires and im more than satisfied with the challenge.
I JUST WANT DIPLOMACY IMPROVED.

The finite resources option doesn't work properly.

I've never tried it. What is wrong with it?
It seems like a great feature but not with the use of monoliths.

Martin (oops I mean Nitram): the problem with finite resources is that, when the planet is supposed to run out of a particular resource, it doesn't really run out. So the resources aren't really finite. They've had problems with the finite resources stuff ever since the beginning; the history files in the various patch sets show multiple fixes, so I'm guessing it's just difficult to set up. And I imagine the AI has trouble with it...
