Suggestions for Modding

Could it be possible to create the tiles in the tile generator itself? Creating the tile files, and then going to the tile painter can bea bit tedious.

Perhaps just allow us to access all of the tiles while we are creating the tile sets- let the L2's paint over the L1's, and let the L3's paint over the L2's- this way we cna create the tile types we need as we go- instead of creating them first- then going to the tile generator.

I was envisoning something where we lay all of the bottom (the L'1s) then we add the L2's (like walls to the ground we already laid down), then we can add the L3's (the pictures on the walls, etc).

or is it simply immpossible to do it this way?

if anyone out there has mastered the art of mapmaking, or at least gained a good grasp of it, please post the process you are using. no matter how i tweak my "tiles" file, i just can't get any of my custom tiles to show up on the map. how are you doing it???

I am not saying that I have mastered mapmaking at all, but I do have some basic experience with it. What exactly are you trying to do, Ahmo? Create a new map from scratch? Or add some new tiles to existing maps?

dummy, I don't think your idea would work so well. There are just too many settings with each terrain.
