Age of a star question.

I have a new system with 3 huge oxygen and all with good values. But there is one problem with this system....the star is "at the end of it's life cycle" What could happen ? Its an old yellow star. Will it explode or what ?

No. Only if it has an extra description underneath that says the star is "unstable" does it have a chance of exploding, and then only if you have enabled "catastrophic" random events in your game.
