Custom Mission?

Will players be able to add or customize their own missions? If so any ideas on what type of missions you would like to see in the game, and or play for your self?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OH, I don't know. how about the storyline where you grow up a farmboy, get involved with an old coot and then have to flee your homeplanet with a couple of smugglers, and then save the galaxy with one well placed shot of your fighter? hahah

I think just getting to explore the galaxy without getting your head handed to you would be good enough at first, until I get familar with the program. Of course, a treasure hunt would be nice too.

I was thinking along the line that you're a deep cover intelligence special agent. Your orders are to infiltrate, analyse, and finally de-stablize the sector. That way when your people finally invade it would be quicker and easier.

But that's just me. I can't wait for a demo.

There was an old Megatraveller campaign called "The Flaming Eye", in which you passed yourself off as a free trader to learn more about - and eventually destroy - a powerful band of pirates.

Always those high and noble motivations, helping out one's people and saving the galaxy...

How about trying to become the most feared pirate in all of the systems, ruthlessly eliminating competitors while keeping the local powers in a perpetual state of war (so they're busy with fighting themselves and can't spare the men and ships to chase you)?

Going along with the idea that you're here to help your people take over the place...

I wonder if you can hire or capture other ships and outfit them to help you? Then you can take your fleet into battle with yourself in the commadn ship and have fleet actions.

And if you can have fleet actions... can you take over planets? You know, "Surrender to us or we reduce you to smoking ruins!" That would be kinda neat. Take over a system and make it your base of operations to expand and control.

But if you can do that... where would Starfury stop and SEV begin... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I would like a series of linked adventures of being a pirate/smuggler with different degrees of severity. Good pirate..ahh the swashbuckling or the bad pirate..yo HO! hehe
