Hi. Just tryied the demo Last week. Quite interesting, even if I would have prefered a full 3D Elite-like environnement. But that's not the topic right now...

Sometime (often), I've got display bugs on my screen. The background pictures (menus, buttons, spacedock pictures, landscape pics) are all messed up. The game doesn't crash and after playing a while, the bug stops. Does it come from my PC or is it a known bug ?

My config : Windows 2000 pro, 256 Mo RAM, PIII 800 Mhz HP workstation (standard video card, don't know the model).

Try the safe mode in the "Options", this fixed it for most people.

safe mode ? I'll try that tonight, thanks... On the other hand, any drawback to be in that mode ?

I tried the display safe mode yesterday evening, and it seems to fix the static pictures display bugs.

But another thing I have now : the screen flashes (a white screen during a quater of second) very often... Am I damned ?

I get the white flash everyonce in awhile as well... very annoying. One time I got about 5 in a row. I have no idea what's causing it. This is on a Radeon 9800 pro with latest Catalyst drivers.

when a ship hits the edge of the screen while selected, sometimes i get the red box accross the whole screeen horizontally. not exactly game breaking, though. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
