the damage display for weapons

As it says above the chart it's Range over Damage. The top numbers are range to target in LS and the bottom numbers are the damage the weapon does after travelling that distance.

ah. now it makes much more sense. except doesn't PPB say 180 for farthest? i'm pretty sure i've never seen a beam weapon fire farther than at most 130.

Re: the damage display for weapons

PPB's have a maximum range of 100 ls in the stock campaigns. The damage chart often goes further than the weapon's maximum range because it shows range increments in multiples of 10, anything beyond 100 will always be 0 for the PPB though.

Actually if I'm reading the files right, a maxed-out PPB will have a maxium range of 125ls. Earlier levels might not go that far because they 'run out of damage' before there.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">No, it's 100. Weapon ranges have a scaling factor that is seperate from the map scaling factor in the CampaignData file. The stock campaigns use a value of 2.0 (the base max range for the PPB is 50).
