Cheat code entry
 

Somehow, several times now I have gotten the game into "Cheat code:" mode.

How do you get out of this?

How did I get into it?

It is a pain. Mouse clicks are accepted, but all keyboard entry is eaten by the cheat code edit line. Had to crash my ship into a planet to get out of it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

I cant seem to get this to work, do you have to be on a certain screen? I press the ` key but nothing happens, no text line and have tried inputting one of the codes then pressing ` again anyway but nothing occurs, what am i doing wrong here?

You should be on the main window, flying your ship.

If you have an international keyboard, you may need to use some sort of combo key to get it.
If not, the key you want is probably just below Escape, and on the same key as the Tilde ~

tried that too, nothing. Im using a british QWERTY keyboard and the ~ is actually above the # key (next to enter) ive also tried ` (below esc) with no success either. Does a text line appear when you get it right?
