Demo Question - Tractor Beam

I've just started the demo but I cannot find out how to loot the pirates I've killed. I can't find anything about a tractor beam in the controls. I'd guess there's a way to do this, I just haven't found it. If anyone has any advice (how to or if it doesn't exist) please post.

You don't need a tractor beam. Just run over the cargo containers.
