Favorite Ship
 

I'm sure by now, people must have found a favorite ship and configuration that they like. Just curious as to what they might be.

Mine happens to be an Xiati Battleship armed with Tachyon Cannons and Plasma Torps, using heavy emissive armour with almost zero shields.

I still like the Abbidon ships for their better firing arc coverage than the Terrans. The Abbidon Cruiser 2 is about the same as a Terran cruiser for coverage, but much larger. I think it's the largest 'cruiser' in the game. So while it doesn't have the weapon points of a battleship it's nearly as large and can carry lots of gear.

The Xiati battleship has the best coverage with its firing arcs.. It's coverage is 100%~!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

One down side is that it has a somewhat lower max tonnage than other races' battle ships (only 1070kt on a MK III). Making it the hardest ship to outfit since space is so limited. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

i would have to say that a lvl 3 terran carrier with 4 lvl 56 psycic flailers and 7000 phased shields on all sides is pretty much unbeatable.......

just get the shield regen up to about 30, with hull at 27 and crew at 21, mix in a 4 high lvl sensor jammers and you need never fear an nme ship again......

Dumb question: Where can I buy an Xiati battleship? I've killed a few Xiati, but haven't seen where to buy one of those ships.

Can buy Xiati ships at a Xiati system space port.

Also at an independant system space port.

Some Neutral ship dealers have them. I usually find the nearest Xiati system and VERY quickly get to the closest planet with a ship deal (usually a Commerce Center) and buy one there. I belive the chance is 30% for a neutral to have an Xiati ship.

There is an Intelligence Center in a neutral system that always seems to have at least one type of Xiati Battleship... but I'm not sure if I should say where....
