More Results/Effects on Events
I was trying to add some general effects to the game, like "stars burning you when you get too close" or "fuel consumption".
I've tried many things, like events that run special jobs to make some effect work or just events that add cargo with special effects to your ship. None is sadisfactory. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif My conclusion on the matter is that Aaron made the game much less moddable than I initially thought. One thing that is a MUST is to add avents that have *effects* as a result (I mean the effects you can put on components). Without this no serious Mod can be made on the game mechanics. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif I'm a software developer: believe me. |

Maybe I was a bit rude 'cose I posted the text on the forum without any further explanation. Being a software developer I know that receiving only negative comments from Users is bit frustrating. Non news, maybe that working on SE-V takes away all Aaron's time to add some things to scripting http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif With all this Modding work u are doin' it would be nice to have more effects and events to work on... it's a pity. |
