karnac iv bug
 

i got a mission to go destroy the starbase (the fahazi or whatever they are called) and to go report back to the listening post at karnac iv and when i report back it doesnt register my success...

now i cant continue in the campaign

Did you destroy the RIGHT starbase?

Did you talk to your contact at the correct planet?

Re-check the misson by re-reading it. Many of the missions have you leave from one planet and return to a completely different one.

Hope this helps (I didn't have that bug at all).

ACtually I have the same problem. I have killed the space station and have even reloaded the game to try it again but to no avail. I don't know what to do next since it doesn't register that I have killed the station http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Did you get the "killing fee"? You normally get a message in these destroy missions saying Congratulations and here's the reward money.

If you didn't get that, maybe you destroyed the wrong base?

I seem to remember a mission where I was sent to destroy a sithrak starbase. In that system there were 2 starbases, one was a sithrak and the other was a fahzra (sp). Both show up red on the radar and both will attack you. Not sure if that helps.

Well so far I have tried it 3 different times. I have killed both bases and everything that moved in the sector but It doesn't register the mission as completed and nothing shows up when I return to the specified planet after the mission is over. The starbase doesn't regenerate so I'm stuck with a uncompleted mission but no more starbase to kill. any suggestions would be a plus. Does I need to use a human ship or something? And no I do not get the killing fee where it registers the mission as getting completed

There is a cheat code you can use to skip the mission, and go on to the next one. I'm not sure what it is, but if you do some searching, you should find it.

The mission is the one at the end of the second campaing, right? I had no problems destroying the Fazrah base and getting the mission. The mission was to destroy the Fazrah base in Knoglam system and report back at the Abbidon Listening post at Karnak IV. For me it worked fine. After I destroyed the base I got 36000 credits and was informed to return to Karnak IV.

Are you sure you destroyed the right base at the right system? For what I can tell there is only one base in Knoglam.

No It's the 3rd? mission in the 3rd campaign.

oh. Well I think I know why you can't get the mission. If you leave the system and then return you can't complete the mission anymore for some reason. I don't know why. I have the same problem with the Jinook Sithrak starbase. I went to the neighbour system to buy toxic injectors and then when I returned and destroyed the station I didn't get the quest. Oh well, I guess I just have to go through cheat codes.

What is the code to get a mission?
