Resupply at Bases and Help Modders! - I cant get my Resupply Depot Component to work.
 

Thought it would be nice to have a Resupply Depot component for bases so that they could resupply any ships that passed through their sector.

The attached files include the Component.txt file and two Picture Component files.
The mod appears stable and I have been playing a game with the Resupply equipped bases, but, the resupply feature isnt working. Any ideas??

Whilst I was testing the mod though, I discovered that if a fleet stops at a base and includes the base within the fleet, the next turn it becomes fully supplied.

Now this may not surprise the veterans, but, I had not read this method of resupply anywhere. Given the "Supply Endless" description of a base, it does however make sense in hindsight.

When I checked the manual though, I could find no reference to resupply this way - has anyone seen this described anywhere in the manual? If it isnt, it should be. Also, the manual index doesnt seem to include a Supply topic, which would be useful to Newbies..(Thought I had graduated from Newbie status myself, but, I still seem to be able to discover new features).

Anyway, those not aware of this feature, take note!!!

You will be finding new things out all the time in this game especially if you start modding. I haven't spent much time modding lately because I was playing the tournament and most of my mod ideas turned out not to work as well as I hoped so far.

It seems as if certain abilities, like the resupply, will only work within a facility.

I don't have a list of everything that DOESN'T work off planet, but some of the things I tried which I couldn't get to work on ships were:

Research points
Intell points
Resupply

I'm not even sure if this is true or not with 1.19. I just gave up trying back in November or December. I think there were a few Posts on this junk back then too.

If anyone here has the full story on this I'd like to know too. Thanks
