Tuning research
Does anyone understand how it works besides using the mouse? It seems you can use the plus/minus key to transfer RP from one field to another, but it works in chunks of 2 RPs - or maybe the chunk size is proportional to your research pool?. It seems you can also use shift +/- to transfer RP in smaller chunks, but this doesn't seem to work very well.
Eg, I'm in a situation where I'm 1 RP short to get Evocation 2, and I want to switch to Enchantment without wasting points on further Evoc research. Using shift-minus I can transfer RPs from Evoc to Enchant 1 point at a time, except when I have 2 RP left in Evoc shift-minus transfer these Last 2 RPs instead of 1 (which is what I want). Edit: it seems I was wrong, shift doesn't change the behaviour of +/-. It's sometimes 1, and sometimes 2 - and OFC Murphy says it's never the one you want http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif [ October 29, 2003, 18:26: Message edited by: Nagot Gick Fel ] |
